Wolfgang Idl Director of Retail, Revetas Capital

Wolfgang joined Revetas Capital in 2015.  He has approximately 20 years of experience in managing retail properties in Austria, CEE and CIS.

Wolfgang spent the past decade at Immofinanz Group where he was responsible for a portfolio of c.170 retail properties across nine countries with 1 million m² of leasable area and a value of €3 billion. At Immofinanz, Wolfgang established a successful customer-focused asset management system and developed strong relationships with international, national and local tenants. This approach led to an occupancy rate far above 90% and significant growth in rental income in the region which ultimately represented more than half of Imnofinanz’s overall rent revenues. In addition, he restructured the retail department, set up a property and centre management group, and an in-house leasing team.

Previously, Wolfgang worked at Jones Lang LaSalle and Gerngross Kaufhaus, where he played a very active role in transforming their properties from Straight department stores into inner-city shopping centres, before selling them on to international investors.

Wolfgang Idl serves on several industry committees for real estate management and is a member of the Austrian Council of Shopping Centers (ASSC) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ISSC).
